Well.. The end of our 6th year of the SPT. It's once again been a year of fun and frivolity that is the stuff of poker legends. The BBQ was again a big success and lots of alcohol was consumed and tears were shed.
In the end it was Richard "Lunchbox" Yates (who seems to leave his best for last) taking out the Championship event for the 2nd year in a row. The win did put some coin back in his pocket after having to fork over $100 to "Jazz" for their little side bet.
I will be updating the points and the schedule for next year soon. Sorry had a pretty busy Christmas and New Years.
Looking forward to another bumper year of SPT in 2012.

Sorry there has been a bit of a gap in the news. Getting lazy in my old age. The last regular season event has been completed. Congratulations to "Bruce" on his first win of 2011. We also welcomed a new member to the SPT group, Hamish "Lazy" Tevoy. "Lazy" was a little rough around the edges, but I'm sure he'll fit right in.
Now the focus moves onto the SPT Championship event in December. The tallies are in and all will be revealed on the day.

Simon "Slaide" Rybinski makes it two in a row after a last minute rebuy on the bubble. He looked down and out but was able to bounce back with some monster hands and outlasted a determined "Lucky Bastard". With the two new SPT mascots (Harry & Crystal) looiking on the cards were fast and furious.
